This Week In Rick Perry

(TBN) - Rick Perry recently revealed that he had adult stem cells injected into his spine to speed up the time it would take for his back to recover from last month's surgery. Critics are upset with the Governor for using his social standing to promote a controversial procedure that has not yet been scientifically proven. However, it should be noted that as an Evangelical Christian, blindly promoting  unproven things is what Rick Perry does best.

Speaking of injecting faith, Rick Perry will take part in a controversial prayer event at Reliant Stadium today. Controversial? Prayer event? Put the poisoned Kool-Aid down, Wicker Man! I like my punch like I like my savior: spiked with Crown.

The home of the Houston Texans holds 70,000, but so far only 8,000 people plan to attend. Of course, if I know my religion, a Christian 8,000 translates to roughly 13.5 billion - if you believe those Big Bang wackos. That being said, God has drawn less of a crowd than the Houston Texans typically do. Maybe Ricky P. should have twittered at Jesus a little more. Maybe they should have made it "free hat day" at the stadium.

Russel Peters

Or, maybe next time the Republican Party should call in Russell Peters to help fill out the stadium. Oh he can't attend! The reason the event is controversial is because non-Christians have been banned from attending. And based on Rick Perry's stance on immigration, Russell Peters would probably be shipped back to Mexico, pronto. That's right you Godless Mexican heathens, the United States is just like Heaven, it's the land of eternal love and opportunity. And it's off limits if to savages.

  2. Wow, I tip my hat to the multiple levels of irony inherent in the Russell Peters reference.

And I wonder if Perry got the "adult stem cells" from the Adult Megaplexx in South Austin.
